Gazprom Neft and OMK implement assisted and augmented reality technologies and devices

The digital transformation of manufacturing companies is expanding across many areas, changing the traditional ways of performing operations.
One such area is inspection control, which plays a crucial role in analyzing product quality at early stages of production.

Using the IKSAR platform, inspectors receive tasks digitally on a mobile device — in this case, industrial-grade RealWear smart glasses.
By keeping their hands free, workers input measurements using voice commands.
Following graphical and textual instructions displayed on the glasses’ screen, specialists complete checklists and capture photos and videos of detected deviations.
Upon completion, the information is immediately available in a structured digital format for analysis by all interested parties.
PJSC Gazprom Neft expects that using IKSAR combined with smart glasses can significantly improve the accuracy and speed of operations.
Commenting on the project outcomes, Vladimir Gorokhov, Customer Relations Director at INLINE GROUP, emphasized the relevance and demand for such solutions among major Russian and global companies. He also highlighted that during the COVID-19 pandemic, head-worn smart devices can greatly enhance business process efficiency by enabling real-time video consultations with remote experts, who see exactly what the on-site operator wearing the smart glasses sees.
