On July 9, 2025, the head office of VEB.RF hosted a Technology Day as part of the "Urban Labs" project, dedicated to augmented reality (AR) technologies.
At the invitation of VEB.RF, the IKSAR team presented its innovative developments in a stand format to the employees and partners of the organization.
Throughout the day, visitors could experience various IKSAR industrial AR scenarios and try on AR glasses from different brands and manufacturers.
The stand was visited by over 70 participants. Wearing AR glasses, they followed step-by-step visual and text instructions simulating tasks of electricians, equipment inspectors, heavy machinery mechanics, aircraft wiring technicians, and other field specialists.
The AR operations were controlled intuitively via Russian voice commands, head movements, buttons, or touchpads.
One of the most engaging demonstrations was the “Remote Expert” concept. A technician wearing AR glasses could initiate a live video call with an expert at a desktop, who could then provide real-time assistance using AR annotation tools to help solve the issue quickly and efficiently.
Visitors also praised the strong potential of the computer vision and AI-based image and text recognition features. For example, when users looked at physical objects through the AR glasses, the system identified them and highlighted visible defects in real time.
The format of the Technology Day also included an expert discussion on “AR Tools and Their Economic Impact.”
The moderator was Alexander Pavlov, Managing Partner for AI Development at VEB.RF.

The discussion featured IKSAR's product lead, Igor Gulyansky. Key topics included:
Participants discussed the global AR market, which reached ~$42B in 2023 and is projected to grow to ~$250B by 2030, with an annual growth rate of 37% between 2024 and 2030. The leading countries — the U.S., China, Japan, Germany, South Korea, and India — demonstrate the enormous potential this technology holds, including for Russia’s economy.
The event became an important platform for exploring the future of AR technologies in Russia.
Participants highlighted the growing importance of domestic AR solutions and the need for their widespread adoption across various sectors.
The IKSAR team expressed its gratitude to VEB.RF and emphasized the relevance of the "Urban Labs" project as a platform for promoting awareness and sharing knowledge about advanced technologies.
- What are Russian-made AR technologies and how are they used?
- What economic benefits does AR adoption bring to national development?
- Market analysis of current AR technology trends
- Evaluation of the potential of domestic AR solutions
- and many others.
