IKSAR and Rospotrebnadzor Tested Global Novelties in AR Glasses

On November 27, 2025, LLC “IKSAR Technologies” and the CMD Clinical Diagnostics Laboratory of the Federal Budgetary Institution “Central Research Institute of Epidemiology” of Rospotrebnadzor conducted joint tests of a new generation of AR glasses from the leading Chinese manufacturer, Goolton.

Following a working visit to China (Shenzhen) in October of this year, the IKSAR team received the entire lineup of Goolton AR glasses. Some models are designed for use in harsh outdoor climatic conditions, including explosive zones, while others are more suitable for indoor applications.
pecialists from CMD and IKSAR selected two binocular models and conduct a series of laboratory coprological studies on them.
The highest ratings in the laboratory work were given to the lightweight and ergonomic AR glasses: their weight and balanced design do not cause fatigue, allowing effective work throughout the day.

The devices are controlled not only by intuitive voice commands in Russian but also feature convenient rotating buttons for quick menu navigation, confirmations, data entry, and other actions.

The cameras in both AR glasses have become even more functional, with stabilization that allows for faster reading of various types of barcodes during the studies.

The device batteries have become more efficient, and the IKSAR team also worked on optimizing the process to reduce power consumption and increase autonomous operation time.

One of the main advantages of the new AR glasses is the transparent binocular displays based on the latest generation waveguide optical technology. This provides high clarity and brightness of the image while reducing dependence on indoor lighting.

The conducted tests represent another step in the development of long-term cooperation between IKSAR and the CMD Clinical Diagnostics Laboratory of the Federal Budgetary Institution “Central Research Institute of Epidemiology” of Rospotrebnadzor. The joint team, having studied the new capabilities of the equipment and software, is already developing a roadmap for the advancement of the digital solution for coprological studies created this year, which may include computer vision and artificial intelligence technologies for image analysis in PCR diagnostics. This will enable the creation of a comprehensive intelligent operator support system at all stages—from sample placement to result interpretation.
