Rokid announces release of ultra-lightweight everyday AR glasses with AI assistant

The device weighs only 49 grams, enabling prolonged use. Equipped with a 12MP Sony camera, it captures high-resolution first-person photos and videos, featuring night shooting and electronic stabilization.
Two monochrome micro-LED displays with 1500 nits brightness are designed for clear overlay of graphical information on real objects (text translation, navigation, etc.).
A dual-chip architecture based on Qualcomm AR1 and NXP RT600 processors, combined with efficient algorithms, delivers high performance with low power consumption and active AI functionality. In online mode, translation into 89 languages is supported, with offline mode for 5 languages using Rokid’s proprietary LLM. Integration with ChatGPT enables object recognition, text translation, route planning, note-taking, voice comment recording, and other “useful” features.
These specifications, paired with thoughtful design, performance, and industrial reliability, make this model highly attractive and competitive in the AR device market. To launch mass production, Rokid announced a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, aiming to raise $20,000.
Within the first few hours of the project’s listing, interest was overwhelming, with over $400,000 collected on the first day.

Production is scheduled to begin in October this year.
