ITMO and IKSAR Technologies join efforts in developing XR education

A strategic partnership agreement has been signed between ITMO University and IKSAR Technologies LLC. The document is aimed at developing cooperation in educational technologies involving extended and augmented reality (XR/AR).

The agreement provides for comprehensive cooperation across several key areas. The main focus of the partnership will be the integration of XR technologies into the university’s educational process. The partners plan to develop and implement innovative educational programs using advanced augmented reality solutions.

Key areas of cooperation include:

• Creation of educational programs using XR technologies
• Development of specialized educational content
• Organization of student internships
• Conducting research activities

Special attention will be given to training a new generation of specialists with competencies in Industry 4.0 and 5.0. The partners intend to build a knowledge base at the intersection of XR technologies, computer vision, and artificial intelligence.

A key participant in the initiative is the Infochemistry Research and Education Center of ITMO University. The university’s Technology Transfer Center will also provide coordination and support for the project, while direct collaboration will be ensured by designated representatives from both organizations.

This partnership opens new opportunities for the development of educational technologies in Russia and supports the integration of advanced solutions into the educational processes of the country’s leading universities.

The signed agreement marks another step in the development of bilateral relations and also includes a plan of specific activities for 2026.
